Last week I was at New Designers 2013 helping my girlfriend exhibit. I have photographed various printmakers and illustrators i felt were interesting and showed great techniques.
Kate Beavis- a linocut illustrator showed some interesting bookjacket designs
Mandy Amos- Mandy exhibited in one year one- showcasing her work and progress from last year. She works using multi plate Lino (something I tend not to do that much) and explained that some of her prints were done using plywood as well as lino.
Sarah offa-Jones- Showcasing some dynamic etched illustrations with high contrasting prints.
Petronella Hall- Monoprint illustrations.
Bea Forshall
I enjoyed the week and saw fist hand how the one year on exhibition can further your careers in illustration, I will look into this for next year. I will also be exhibiting at the BCTF 2014 which i will post further details of in the future.
