I havent posted any work for a while so heres the project i am currently working on. It is based on the Cheltenham illustration competition, and its amulets and charms. My research lead me to an acorn charm in which people believed would protect them from lightening. I liked the idea of this and explored the idea of people living in acorn houses at the bottom of a wooded area. I will add people silhouetted running towards the houses but basically this is the final composition. The black and white section shows stylistically what i want the final image to look like. i will etch the final image over the weekend and hopefully have a detailed intricate print to post at some point next week.
