As my younger sister is 9 herself and roughly the age of the audience we are targeting she agreed we could photograph her to go alongside the illustrations. The use of a female narrator i feel works better because the subject of the illustrations Ben (fictional character) is male. Targeting both sexes of this age is vital and the concept would definately not work as well if geared in any way towards either or.

When I began taking the photographs of the words we had selected I realised how difficult it actually was to photograph a still of the differnt moving signs. I also realised it was not a quick part of the brief as it took me a long time (hours upon hours) with a very patient sister to get her hands and arms in the correct positions for over 20 photographs. Having fingers, hands or arms in the worng position signs something completely wrong and working with a 9 year old keeping her focused for a long period of time was difficult.
